Iranian Army chief holds meeting with Minister of Defense
TEHRAN- The commander-in-chief of Iranian Army, accompanied by a team of commanders, deputies, and Army officials, convened with the Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
As reported by the Army's public relations, Major General Seyyed Abdulrahim Mousavi, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army, along with Mohammad Hasani, the head of the Army Political and Ideological Organization, and other Army leaders and deputies, met with Brigadier General Aziz Nasir Zadeh, the newly appointed Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, to extend their congratulations.
During this meeting, participants explored avenues for strengthening collaboration between the Army and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
It was agreed that a follow-up meeting would be scheduled soon between the Minister of Defense and the commanders of the forces to enhance mutual engagement and establish targeted cooperation, enabling the development and implementation of effective solutions.
Nasir Zadeh held the position of deputy chief of staff for Iranian Armed Forces from September 2021 until 2024. Before this role, he served as the chief of staff of the Iranian Air Force.
Iranian Army chief holds meeting with Minister of Interior
Major General Seyyed Abdulrahim Mousavi also held a meeting with Eskandar Momeni, Iranian Minister of Interior, accompanied by a delegation of Army commanders and officials.
Through the Army's public relations, Major General Mousavi extended his congratulations to Momeni for receiving a vote of confidence from the representatives of the Iranian Parliament during their meeting at the Ministry of Interior.
During the discussion, General Mousavi acknowledged Momeni's extensive managerial experience and his significant contributions to the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing confidence that Momeni would continue to excel in his role at the Ministry of Interior.
Mousavi underscored the Army's growing readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Interior on various missions, including border security, disaster response, and crisis management, noting the shared responsibilities between the two entities.
In response, Eskandar Momeni, the Minister of Interior, conveyed his appreciation for the presence of the Army's commander-in-chief and other officials, highlighting the Army's proactive involvement and support in joint operations with the ministry, particularly in securing the eastern and western borders and managing crises, which he deemed commendable.
In 2018, Momeni was appointed by Hassan Rouhani, the former president of Iran, to serve as the secretary of the Anti-Narcotics Headquarters, thereby establishing himself as an influential member of Iran's security framework.
